Omri Ross is the Chief Blockchain Officer at eToro and Associate Professor at the Department of Computer Science at the University of Copenhagen. As Chief Blockchain Officer at eToro, Omri oversees research and development of the groups growing portfolio of blockchain-based products and services, leading multiple strategic initiatives within the Group’s crypto strategy.
In his research, Omri explores the application of blockchain technologies and DLT in the financial services with emphasis on DeFi, trade processing, derivatives, regulation and compliance. He is the initiator of the Financial Transparency Group (FTG) at the University of Copenhagen. Omri earned his PhD in financial mathematics at Cambridge University and is a serial entrepreneur, joining eToro with the Groups acquisition of Firmo in 2019.
